What's New
November '09 New Monitors from KRK
KRK has introduced three new products to complement their existing lineup of top quality studio monitors.
KRK 12S Subwoofer: This powered sub is the perfect complement to KRK VXT, Expose, or any other 6"-10" studio monitor. Designed to extend the response of an existing monitor system so the low-frequency portion of the mix can be properly engineered, the KRK12s features KRK's hallmark full, clear, accurate sound. The high-power 400-watt design makes the KRK 12s perfect for mid to large-sized control rooms and applications requiring high SPL. The front-firing bass port and KRK's trademark yellow Kevlar woofer ensure accurate and powerful low-end punch. A sturdy grill protects the woofer and adds to the sleek appearance of the unit. A high-power aplifier and active crossovers provide smooth and accurate reproduction.
R6 Passive Monitor: The R6 is the passive version of the industry standard Generation 2 RoKit Studio Monitor Series from KRK Systems. For years, the RoKit series has been a popular choice for accurate monitoring in studios large and small. Now, the R6 provides a new standard in passive monitoring with better performance and accuracy, raising the bar once again. Considering KRK has always been the standard, this is a lofty claim. But, with the R6, you will hear the truth.
RP6G2-SE-White: KRK's RoKit G2 powered studio monitors are tremendously popular. Now to add even more flexibility to the lineup, the RP6G2 has been issued for a limited time in white. This monitor with its front-firing bass port and KRK's trademark yellow glass-aramid composite woofer and soft-domed tweeters looks slick enough for the most sophisticated environment.
KRK Subs
Surround sound mixing and today's bass-heavy music demand accurate sound reproduction in the bass frequencies. Subwoofers allow you to use smaller main monitors, make it
possible to monitor the essential low frequency range and can be a great solution for space-challenged control rooms or mixing environments. The KRK12s powered subwoofer is
the perfect choice for professional or higher end studios, where ultra-accurate bass extension and higher sound levels are required. Powered by a massive 400 watt amplifier and
signature Kevlar-woofer, the KRK12s is the no-compromise way to hear what is happening in the depths of your mix. Convenience features include a lighted footswitch for
bypassing the subwoofer, variable crossover, phase ground lift and polarity controls. A distinct KRK capability is our precision control for tuning the phase to match your exact room
placement. The KRK12s is an ideal companion for VXT or Expose’ systems where critical low frequency monitoring is a necessity. The KRK10s powered subwoofer has a smaller form
factor than the KRK12s and is the perfect complement to KRK Rokit, VXT or any other 4”-8” studio monitor. The KRK10s subwoofer also features a great looking cabinet that echoes
the curved edges of the Rokit and VXT monitors.

July '08 Ergo - Enhanced Room Geometry Optimization
A great mix starts with a great recording room. But when it comes to achieving the most accurate mix, your room may have the upper hand. Like any room, your studio’s acoustics include offending frequencies and room reflections, and none of these are helping your mix. Getting a handle on these problems has traditionally meant the installation of soft foam or fabrics, and that’s a great start. But now you can get even closer to a perfect room, and a perfect mix, because the future of studio sound is here, and it’s called ERGO.
July '08 KRK RokitG2 Series

May '07 New VXT Series (VXT4, VXT6, and VXT8)
A domed tweeter is comprised of true silk for fast transient response.
A new woofer design with a stiffer, lighter cone provides low distortion and extended low-end.
